Brampton Morning Update – June 25, 2020

Mayor Patrick Brown giving June 24 COVID-19 update.

On today’s show, we talk about mandatory face masks, municipal finances, and tomorrow’s show finale!

Mandatory Face Masks

The city strongly recommends residents to wear masks, anytime they leave their home. Masks are mandatory when taking the transit or going to the Farmer’s market, but not in the vicinity of other small businesses. However, that can change if the number of cases in Brampton increase.

Municipal Finances

Municipalities asked for about $10 billion in pandemic relief funding from the provincial government and federal government for 2 months ago. However, Mayor Brown explains they have not heard any response from either and why it is so important for our essential services.

Finale Friday

Tomorrow (June 26), at 8 am, we will be going live on Facebook and Twitter for our final show of the Brampton Morning Update. We will be taking questions and comments live! We will be joined by Don Mcleod, Nikki Cedrone, Karla Bailey, and our two senior interns, Hiral and Perry. It has been a pleasure making this show, and we can’t wait for you all to tune in!
