Peter Joshua’s Firing

The Peel District School Board’s Director of Education, Peter Joshua has been fired. He had overseen the PDSB through a tumultuous time, mounting allegations of anti-black racism and various other forms of discrimination. This comes after the announcement of the new PDSB supervisor Bruce Rodrigues appointed by Education Minister Lecce.

New Math Curriculum

The province announced a new math literacy curriculum that includes financial literacy, coding, and “back to basics” fundamentals. In addition, there will be no EQAO testing for Grades 3 and 6 for 2020-21 school year.
