The City of Brampton has released information about their plan for BramptonU, a standalone university focused on cultivating talent and employability.
Ontario’s municipalities will receive up to $1.6 billion in emergency funding, and Brampton is eligible for $34.9 million.
On July 30th, the City of Brampton initiated a new curbside pickup initiative to help local businesses and residents. Many implementations are in accordance to reduce COVID19, so their offering will be online, then curbside pickup and delivery.
$133 million investment for Brampton Transit includes $45.3 million from the federal government, $37.8 million from the provincial government and $30.2 from the City of Brampton.
Speaking on the significance of this opportunity, she says that “my passion for the community and my desire to see that every person gets an opportunity- that’s the driving force for what I do.”
Councillor Dhillon opposes the opening of a new cannabis shop at 65 Braydon Boulevard, saying that “we must protect our neighbourhoods and children from drugs.”
